First step that you need to take to keep your blinds clean is regular dusting. You should vacuum clean your blinds once in a week at least.
There are some forms of dirt that can penetrate deeply in your blinds such as condensation, fingerprints, grease and many more. These require special attention and should be subjected to deep cleaning like the blind should be wiped with damp clothes. Cords of the blinds which are used to open and close it should also be kept clean. If your cords are of metal they should be simply wiped with a damp cloth to keep them clean while if you have cloth cords, it is better to soak them in soap water.
Regular and systematic cleaning in which you skip no part of the blind not only makes them look better but also increases their durability and life. Regular dusting and occasional deep water washing and soaking can keep your blinds in a good condition for a long time.
